James Wright, PE is an independent consultant with 40+ years experience in large industrial capital projects providing support and expert testimony for Engineering/Construction Claims and Disputes for both Owners and Contractors. Since 2005, he also provides consulting E-Discovery litigation support and expert testimony.

A Professional Engineer, James has broad experience in engineering, management, including executive and middle management, project management and engineering, expert analysis and testimony, contract dispute and claims negotiation. While in the Halliburton Law Dept, he was a Contract Claims Specialist managing claims and serving as liaison between technical and legal for KBR Capital Projects as well as Halliburton Oilfield Services contract disputes, litigation, arbitration, mediation, both domestic and international.

During his tenure at Halliburton, he also became Director of E-Discovery in the then-nascent field of ED and managed ED related to all litigation, Subsequent to his departure after the KBR spin-off, he became an independent E-Discovery consulting expert, soon becoming nationally-recognized, known to Federal and Texas state judges. He has served as expert in litigation matters in both state and federal courts and served as speaker at numerous conferences and advisory groups. He has published articles regarding the management of E-Discovery activities and was a Founding Director of a national corporate forum developing best practices in E-Discovery, Data Management and Records Retention.

James has knowledge and experience in the often complex ground-level activities associated with the in-house collection, processing, review and production of ESI, and his interest in facilitating the discovery process and reducing costs has led to his consideration as Special Master/Neutral Expert assignments by State and Federal Courts.
